AI-Assisted Archival Policy
Rules for using AI in research, extraction, normalization, and drafting without allowing AI inference to become historical fact.
Permitted Uses
AI may assist with entity extraction, alias normalization, timeline comparison, duplicate detection, source triage, and draft structuring.
Human Verification
A human reviewer must verify status, dates, relationship claims, reputational claims, quotations, and source relevance before publication.
No Synthetic History
Plausible patterns, industry norms, or reconstructed narratives cannot replace evidence. If a history is inferred, it must be labeled as an inference and not assigned high confidence.
Change Logging
AI-assisted changes must be attributable to a run version, review date, affected URL, and rollback record.
